Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise import and export shipments to ensure proper documentation is provided to customs broker and regulatory agencies

  • Identify root causes of variation in documentation within and between business units and implement appropriate corrective actions

  • Develop and maintain shipment tracking systems (e.g., dashboards)

  • Maintain and renew all current permits and licenses with regulatory agencies 

  • Serve as primary contact with our logistics partners and customs broker

  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving, and Shipping to ensure consistency in the importing and exporting processes and implement appropriate corrective actions

  • Prepare and submit Duty Drawback claims

  • Collaborate with company business units to expand the Drawback program to maximize return

  • Actively engage with Customs to maintain the Drawback program and to consider possible expansion

  • Leads special projects with minimal supervision 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Compliance, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in international logistics and or preparation of documentation for import and export transactions

    • Previous experience with US FWS or USDA preferred but not required

    • Previous experience regulatory compliance preferred but not required

  • Minimum 1 year experience in preparation of duty drawback claims

  • Detail oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
