Job Description:
Eastman Music Company is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the accuracy of our inventory systems, investigating variances, and driving process improvements. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with purchasing, product, and quality teams to ensure inventory practices are efficient and aligned with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily inventory transactions and reconcile discrepancies between physical and system records.

  • Identify root causes of inventory variances and work with operations teams and related stakeholders to implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain inventory-related reports and dashboards (e.g., inventory aging, turnover, cycle count accuracy, excess/obsolete stock).

  • Track and support execution of cycle counts, physical inventories, and related reconciliation activities.

  • Collaborate with purchasing, product managers, custom shops or quality assurance teams to ensure alignment between inventory processes and their requirements.

  • Evaluate and enhance inventory control processes, including documentation and standard operating procedures. Training associates from other departments on good inventory control practices when needed.

  • Assist with ERP or inventory management system updates, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.

  • Support audits, compliance, and inventory control policy enforcement.

  • Leads/Works special projects with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in inventory, operation or supply chain function

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with ERP or WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities
