Job Description

The Wind Shop is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support the inspection and evaluation of brass and woodwind instruments. This role ensures instruments meet our performance and craftsmanship standards before reaching customers. Full-time availability is preferred, but all applicants are welcome. You’ll be part of a collaborative team where continuous improvement, efficiency, and craftsmanship are valued. This is an excellent opportunity for detail-oriented individuals looking to grow in a hands-on, instrument-focused environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect brass and woodwind instruments for quality, consistency, and playability

  • Accurately enter, update, and verify data in company systems

  • Follow standardized procedures to ensure all products meet quality standards and accurately document findings

  • Collaborate with the team to support continual improvement of  QC processes 

  • Maintain an efficient, organized workflow in a fast-paced environment 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with at least one wind instrument strongly preferred

  • Tuba specialists encouraged to apply

  • Repair experience not required; training provided 

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy 

  • Self-motivated, focused, and driven toward personal improvement and supporting team goals 

  • Willingness to learn and apply standardized work practices and adapt as practices evolve

  • Ability to push and pull boxed product weighing up to 100lbs, and lift product weighing up to 40lbs
