Job Description
Eastman Music, a leading manufacturer of student, intermediate and high-end professional brass and woodwind instruments, is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hard-working craftsperson to join our team in Mijdrecht, the Netherlands. Are you passionate about craftsmanship and music? Do you have a keen eye and ear for detail? We are looking for a skilled craftsperson to join our team and perform quality control and repairs on our instruments to ensure they meet the highest standards of tone, mechanics, and finish.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed inspections of newly manufactured brass and woodwind instruments
Test tuning, intonation, and playability
Assess mechanical components for smooth action and reliability
Identify cosmetic and functional defects
Collaborate with the production and repair teams to communicate findings and recommend adjustments
Qualifications
Hands-on experience with wind instruments (playing, repairing, or crafting), preferably woodwinds
Knowledge of woodwind/brass mechanics and materials
Exceptional attention to detail
Familiarity with acoustic testing and tuning
Ability to document inspection results clearly and consistently
Bonus Skills
Previous work in instrument manufacturing or repair
Musical training or formal education in instrument design
